What should I do to prepare the property before the shoot?

For real estate photography, the property should be clean, decluttered, staged, and ready to photograph before the scheduled arrival time. Lights should be working, window coverings should be positioned appropriately, and personal items should be minimized where possible.

For commercial and construction projects, preparation will depend on the type of production. We’ll discuss any specific access, safety, staging, or site requirements before the shoot.

What is the booking process for residential real estate?

For residential real estate, the process is designed to be simple:

1. Submit your project details  – Provide the property address, desired services, preferred date, and any special instructions. Order Form
2. Confirm services and pricing – We’ll review the project and confirm your appointment.
3. Schedule the appointment — Once everything is confirmed, your shoot is scheduled. Two emails have been sent. Please check your spam folder and mark “not spam” if our emails ended up there.
4. Prepare the property – Please make sure the property is photo ready. 
5. Photography & production – We arrive at the scheduled time and capture the agreed-upon media.
6. Editing & delivery – Your finished media is professionally edited and delivered the very next morning.

What is the booking process for commercial projects?

Commercial projects typically begin with a little more planning because the scope can vary significantly.

1. Tell us about the project – Provide the location, property or project type, approximate size, desired services, timeline, and intended use of the media. Order Form
2. Project consultation – We’ll discuss the scope, recommended coverage, production requirements, scheduling, and deliverables.
3. Custom quote – Based on the project requirements, we’ll provide pricing and outline the proposed scope of work.
4. Approve and schedule – Once the project details and pricing are approved, we’ll coordinate the production date or schedule.
5. Production – Our team captures the agreed-upon photography, aerial, video, 3D, FPV, floor plan, or other media.
6. Post-production & delivery – The media is professionally edited and delivered according to the project timeline.

How far in advance should I schedule a shoot?

As early as possible is recommended, especially for commercial, construction, event, and multi-location projects. Residential real estate shoots can often be scheduled with shorter notice depending on availability.

How quickly will I receive my finished media?

For residential real estate photography, finished photos are delivered the very next morning following the scheduled shoot.

Floor plans are typically delivered the next day, while video projects generally have a 1–3 day turnaround, depending on the scope of the project.

Commercial, construction, corporate, event, and multi-location projects vary based on the size, complexity, number of services, and overall scope of work. A specific turnaround time will be discussed and confirmed when your project is scheduled.

How long does a typical shoot take?

Shoot times vary depending on the property, project size, number of services, and coverage requested.

A straightforward residential photography appointment may be relatively quick (20 minutes), while commercial properties, construction sites, events, 3D tours, FPV, and multi-service productions can require significantly more time.

Do I need to be present during the photography appointment?

No. The listing agent or homeowner does not necessarily need to be present as long as we have confirmed access to the property and clear instructions for the appointment.

For vacant or occupied properties, we’ll coordinate access instructions before the scheduled shoot.

How are the finished files delivered?

Finished media is delivered digitally through an online delivery system. Depending on the project, deliverables may include high-resolution photography, web-ready images, video files, 3D tour links, floor plans, or social media content.

How many photos will I receive?

The number of photos delivered varies by property and is based on what is needed to properly showcase the home. We don’t limit or count photos, we photograph the property thoroughly and provide a complete collection of quality images that best represent the space.

What happens if weather prevents drone photography?

Safety comes first. If weather or site conditions prevent safe and compliant drone operations, we’ll work with you to reschedule the aerial portion of the project when appropriate.

Not necessarily. Drone operations depend on the project location, airspace, weather, site conditions, and applicable FAA requirements.

UAV Vision Media operates under FAA Part 107 requirements and will evaluate the location and conditions before conducting aerial work. If drone coverage isn’t possible, we’ll discuss the available options for your project.

What usage rights are included with my media?

For residential real estate, the final media is licensed for marketing the property for up to one year or until the property sells, whichever comes first. This includes use for the listing, brokerage and agent marketing, websites, social media, print materials, and other promotional efforts related to the sale of the property.

For commercial, corporate, construction, development, and other projects, usage rights are based on the scope and intended use of the project and will be discussed as part of the quote and project terms.
